Communicating with Union-Represented or Non-Represented Employees

Whether your organization is dealing with a union for the first time or if it has been unionized for many years, it is important that your management team communicates effectively prior to or during contract negotiations. 

Managing a unionized workforce can be very difficult. Our training teaches managers/supervisors important techniques and tools so they can effectively communicate with its unionized workforce and union representatives.

In our training, we will cover the following:

  • Understanding the union representing/seeking to represent your employees
  • How to interact respectfully with employees and union leadership during contract negotiations
  • How to diffuse tense labor-management situations
  • Developing communications that can be used during negotiations
